Special Diets

Do you have particular dietary needs?  Please let us know!  Our Campus Dining Services Program can accommodate your special dietary requirements.  For more information, please contact Charlie Salmond, Executive Chef  salmondc@franklinpierce.edu.

Seconds Policy

You never have to be too shy to ask for seconds with our Campus Dining Program.  Our generous policy allows for a second helping of many menu favorites.  All you have to do is ask!

Dining Policies

One of our main goals is to provide a pleasant, clean, comfortable and satisfying dining experience. In order to meet this goal, we ask for your assistance with the following procedures:

  • Please bus your dishes and disposables from your table when you have finished dining
  • Please refrain from taking food, dishes or utensils from the dining area.
  • Remember that Meal Cards are non-transferable.  Meal cards cannot be used by anyone but the purchaser.

About Your Dining Meal Plan

In order to meet your campus dining needs, we have designed the following meal plans for the 2011 - 2012 academic year.

As a first year student you will have the
option of two meal plan choices:

  • Unlimited Meals
  • Unlimited Meals & $150 in Dining Points

Unlimited means, just as it sounds, you have no limit to the
number of times that you can come into the cafeteria. Come for
a coffee before class, come back after class for breakfast, and stop
in between meals for an ice cream… no problem!

In later years you will have different options of meal plans to choose
from but for the first year we keep it easy and worry free. The only thing
you need to remember is your ID card; because all of your meal plan information is stored on your card. All meal plan changes are handled by the office of Residential Life.

Upperclassman that live in a traditional residence hall can choose from:

  • Unlimited
  • Unlimited with $150 points
  • Traditional 15 Meals per week
  • 150 Block Plan with $100 in Points

Upperclassman that live in Apartment Style Housing can choose from:

  • Any of the above plans plus
  • 100 Block with $200 in Points
    M-F lunch only

Why do I need Dining Points if I have an Unlimited plan?

Dining Points are like a debit account right on your ID Card. Your Unlimited plan will allow you to eat as much as you want in the cafeteria but we understand that you might get hungry after 7pm or want a beverage or snacks for your room. This is where your dining points come in handy! You can purchase snacks and bottled drinks right at the cashiers stand, or visit the Coffee Shop or Late Night in the Raven's Nest and use your dining points to purchase food! Dining Points are part of your meal plan, they can be carried from fall to spring semester as long as you remain on a meal plan but they do not carry year to year. They spend just like cash!

Guests

With your Unlimited plan, you get 2 guest passes each semester. These are stored right on your ID card. If you have additional guests than you can use your dining points, Raven points, or cash to purchase meals for them. The Marketplace Cafeteria is open for continuous dining, seven days a week during the academic year.

Meal Cards

Selection of a Campus Dining Services Meal Plan entitles you to a Meal Card, which allows you purchasing power equivalent to the plan you have selected.  Here is how it works: your meal plan information is stored on your card, when it is swiped by the cashier your meal is automatically deducted from your balance.

Lost or stolen Meal Cards can be replaced.  Should this happen to you… you can order a new one from the cashier in the dining hall or you can go to Campus Safety to have one made immediately.

Your dining experience is more than great food...
